Over the summer I like to keep my two kids, ages 8 and 10 busy and do a few lessons plans over the summer so that they do not forget everything. I would like to do a bit of history; either united state or world history this summer and I was wondering if there are any good web sites for kids that cover history and has some good printable work sheets and/or games.

   go to the History Channel website. You can also watch the History Channel on television.

   I can’t access the actual site on this log in, but the British History museum has a wonderful site with lots of fun activities. There is a game that even teacher your kids how to make a mummy! My daughter loves it.

   My wife and I use Cosmeo located at . It is done by the Discovery Channel. They have video based lessons on all kinds of subjects including history, science, math, social studies, etc. They also have study guides. I think it costs $10 a month, but well worth it. My kids love all the different videos there.
